The SLOPD Roundtable is a group of volunteer citizens formed in 2013 as an initiative to increase transparency and improve connectivity with the community. Members are selected by the Chief in consultation with sitting members with the intent of garnering different perspectives. The SLOPD Roundtable meets quarterly throughout the year as a group and provides valued feedback regarding topics that may help SLOPD improve service delivery and maintain the highest levels of public confidence. The next meeting is scheduled for July 28, 2016.
The mission of the Police Chief’s Roundtable is to serve as a community-based group of volunteers for purposes of regular direct interaction and effective communication between the San Luis Obispo community at large and the San Luis Obispo Police Department with regard to the consideration of public safety challenges and solutions intended to enhance the quality of life in San Luis Obispo.
