The election of an incumbent Council Member to the office of Mayor has left a vacant Council Member seat. The City Council chose to fill this vacancy by appointment.

The City Council held a Special Meeting on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 7:00 PM, at which Dan Carpenter was appointed to the office of Council Member to fill the vacant seat.
