SLO Climate Coalition Meeting
On Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 6:30 PM, the San Luis Obispo Climate Coalition (SLOCC) will be holding its twice monthly Task Force meeting. These are open community meetings and the public is invited. The mission of the SLO Climate Coalition is to leverage community expertise, creativity and resources in order to multiply SLO City’s efforts to become carbon free. The Climate Coalition is a partnership between SLO City and SLO Clean Energy in support of SLO City’s climate action major city goal.
The meeting will be held at the Ludwick Community Center, located at 864 Santa Rosa St, San Luis Obispo, CA. The meeting will conclude at approximately 8:30 PM.
The agenda for this meeting is to formally adopt the coalition charter, select Task Force Chair and Vice-Chair, and discuss and recommend goals and values for SLO City’s developing Community Choice Energy (CCE) program. In addition, there will be general updates on action item progress presented by SLOCC members.
The application process for joining the SLOCC Task Force is also currently open to the public. The Task Force is the SLO Climate Coalition’s guiding body, which will consist of 6 to 8 community members with liaison support from Council Member, Aaron Gomez, and Sustainability Manager, Chris Read.
