Public Hearing to Review the Rental Housing Inspection Program Ballot Initiative Impact Report

The San Luis Obispo City Council invites all interested persons to attend a public meeting relative to:

CITY COUNCIL HEARING TO REVIEW IMPACT REPORT ASSOCIATED WITH THE RENTAL HOUSING INSPECTION PROGRAM BALLOT INITIATIVE

On March 21, 2017, the City Council directed staff to return with a report on the potential impacts associated with the proposed Initiative Measure to Repeal Chapter 15.10 of the City’s Municipal Code entitled “Rental Housing Inspection” and adopt a new Chapter 15.10 entitled “Non-Discrimination in Housing”. The Rental Housing Inspection Ordinance has already been repealed by the City Council by ordinance, which will become effective April 20, 2017. The focus of the report is on the possible effects and impacts of Council adoption or voter approval of the proposed provision in the City’s Municipal Code, entitled “Non-Discrimination in Housing.”
